THE NEW MOON IN PISCES

“That's the most beautiful thing that I like about boxing: you can take a punch. The biggest thing about taking a punch is your ego reacts and there's no better spiritual lesson than trying to not pay attention to your ego's reaction. That's what takes people out of the fight half the time.’’
David O. Russell
It has been quite a time of things all happening in the Ephemeris and the New moon in Pisces is no exception.

As you already know, I am not an astrologer nor do I profess to be one. But I do like to muse over the characteristics of the signs as they come and go on their infinite trajectory.

I am an Aries.

I do indeed possess all the fiery qualities of my sign, however, I can claim to have Mars, Mercury and Venus in Pisces. So, I have a vested interest in the Piscean journey and the ramifications of this spiritual and sensitive sign.

The sign of the Fish was an early symbol of Christianity and I presume this is how it became a symbol of spirituality.

From my observations of friend and foe that are influenced by this sign, they do indeed have a capacity for great depth and insight.

They are not afraid to traverse the depths within and often have robust otherworldly notions which can take you through the wardrobe and beyond!

I too have a remarkable ability to zone out and my thoughts are frequently preoccupied with ideas that are not of this world. I suppose that this may come with the terrain of what I do, which is very much full time, so it is to the manor born you could say!

I like the New Moon or at least what it represents.

A time for new beginnings, fresh perspectives and a golden opportunity to consider my personal vision for the future and what I need to do to make it happen.

Why not plant a seed as a symbol of growing your ideas and future plans. You will need:

  • A plastic cup

  • Seeds

  • Soil

  • Pen and paper

Simples!

On the paper write down your intention, (you can create a nice environment as you plant by using lovely aromas and music).

Fill the plastic cup with the soil, place your intention in there and pop the seed gently in the soil. Make a small hole in the base for excess water to escape. You can think of a short rhyme to say to the seedling everyday as it grows, don’t forget to nurture it! When the seedling has sprouted you may have to re-pot it, as you do so think about your intention and whether it has manifested!

New Moon in Pisces is about rising above our physical limitations and entering a more spiritual phase of our growth.

Being conscious of who we are, our place in the world and how we operate in the material and spiritual realms of self are vital to this transition. It is time to do the work with self.

The journey between the head and the heart is one of the longest even though it is only 14 inches long. To be conscious of ‘becoming’ we often face a powerful intellectual battleground that is required to create the conditions needed for growth and transformation. This stems from a painful realisation of the suffering in the world, things that need completion and a bunch of personal paradoxes and inner tendencies that constantly wage war with each other.

Emerging into that new spiritual phase means being conscious of missed opportunities, lost possibilities, ideals that clash and an understanding of what we have to let go of in order to move forward.

The physical world is full of disappointments and sorrows. Joy and love are there in equal measure, yet it is the struggle that precipitates the rebuilding of our own promised land. Our ability to transcend above these difficulties lifts us from the dense vibration of a potential wound and the ascending spirit of self is at once refined and shaped through the process of rising above…

A spiritual Darwinism, takes place, but on an inner level, the survival of the fittest tendency, a forging of the finest qualities, a light begins to shine where there was none.

I drew a card to represent the influences of a new spiritual phase and I got the Chariot.

It is indicated that events speed us forward without, perhaps, an end goal in sight; this seems to be saying that we should trust the process.

Circumstances that limit us and inhibit expansion require attention, this may be challenging but we will gain fresh perspectives so that we can begin to see what the end result might look like.

Our drive and willpower ask to be channelled into positive action.

Psychic events and dreams may open the portals for us to consider what the normalcy of our lives is, yet we are to step back from such phenomena so that we can become conscious of their inner meaning in a very practical sense.

Conventional attitudes and values cry out to be changed; we are pulled around by wild and invisible forces. The knack is in standing firm, remaining centred and being in the heart.

After our long journey of 14 inches, the head connects to the heart and each is an ally to the other.

These spiritual journeys teach us of alternative realities, (not alternative facts!!) and we become increasingly aware of the infinite in our nature and the magnificent and brilliant self we can become.

  • What is your vision?

  • Where are you at the moment?

  • Do you connect to your vision positively?

  • How does it feel?

  • What is your first step?
