Tuning In and Trusting

"Trust gives you the permission to give people direction, get everyone aligned, and give them the energy to go get the job done. Trust enables you to execute with excellence and produce extraordinary results. As you execute with excellence and deliver on your commitments, trust becomes easier to inspire, creating a flywheel of performance."

Douglas Conant.

I am gearing up for the beginning of term at the College of Psychic Studies.

Classes begin on 18th September and I am immensely looking forward to it. New term is always exciting, new folks in the group, new projects and fresh ideas. And of course it is a delight to see ongoing students make progress along their path.

Tarot finds you…

Many people come onto the Tarot path without any background knowledge of Tarot apart from having an occasional reading or a mate who can sling a card at 30 paces. Perhaps what they have is a profound desire to get acquainted with Tarot, a driving compulsion but the reason why as yet may elude them. But somehow the erstwhile Tarot traveller finds themself sitting in a group of equally enthused but bewildered travellers who have also been trying to make sense of the literature; Tarot finds you, not the other way around.

Our Tarot traveller now begins to realise that they have a journey ahead of them.

What is more, this journey is never really done. Each step forward is a an evolutionary step and with it comes the understanding that there are many layers to the archetypal procession that is Tarot.

Personally I have received so much from my association with the cards. I have got an education, as well as a guide and illuminator. I have travelled to some fantastic places and met some wonderful people. I have discovered a purpose and I have developed my relationship with spirit. I have a deep sense of rootedness and belonging and my interest serves me well, I am never bored!

Tarot can act as spiritual guide that leads to new possibilities.

Tarot can provide a mystical or visionary experience grounded in spirit AND your personal life experiences. Tarot acts as a spiritual guide that leads to new possibilities. If the traveller is prepared to make a commitment to the path, to go through the challenges and to embrace the insights that lead to self-discovery, then one can be assured that the prize will be won - a honing of skills, a surfacing of creative talent, new found strength and a spiritual awareness that not only grows as you do but will be with you for the rest of your days.

So, how do we get to that point?

Your studies will give you the opportunity to create a Tarot Tool Box. Your Tarot Tool Box contains all that you need but is developed over time.

Tuning In

One of the tools is the ability to tune in. This is not only the capacity for understanding the symbolism in the cards but also the energy of the client, the moment, the idea.

Tarot readers are storytellers. They do this by stringing symbols, pictures, feelings and images together to make a whole picture.

Another important tool is trust. It is important to trust the impressions you receive. Trust the first thing that comes into your mind…be inspired.

Trust is a difficult tool to manage, we often think our imagination is getting in the way or we are being naive, maybe even a bit bonkers! The information you receive is coming from your innate wisdom and it should be relevant and beneficial to the context of the reading.

Trust is a vital component of the reading and is a necessary aspect when working with spirit.
